Travel to Greece: Agora: Photo 6
![]() A bit industrial in contrast, as though the parts came from Home Depot. The agora, however, had several stoas or long covered halls with an open colonnade on one side and a wall on the other. This one is the Stoa of Attalos (r. 159-138), paid for by the ruler of Pergamon, who had been educated in Athens. It's unusual in having two stories. Is it a survival?
