Travel to Morocco: Dar Si Said
Dar Si Said, now a museum, was built by the same team of craftsmen who built the larger and far more visited Al Bahia house, not shown here. The two houses were built by two brothers who both served as vizier. Si Said never lived in his house; he died as it was being completed.

Doorway into the courtyard.

The stairs themselves give little hint of what awaits.
The answer: grand rooms, elaborately decorated.
