Introduction to Burma / Myanmar

Except for the Pagan folders, these pictures emphasize colonial Burma (Myanmar), particularly Rangoon (Yangon) and Moulmein (Mawlamyine).  The choice of names here is tricky.  Official sources have now shifted almost entirely to the names imposed by the current military regime, like Myanmar and Yangon.  Sticking with the old names like Burma and Rangoon  becomes either a bit of antiquarianism or a political statement.   Well, so be it.
