Notes on the Geography of Germany: Imperial Berlin: Photo 10
The Berlin Cathedral, built 1895-1905 to a design of Julius Raschdorff, is sometimes called a Protestant St. Peters. It, too, was rebuilt after the War, in this case with lower and simpler dome than in the original. Peering over its shoulder is the Fernsehturm or television tower, from the 1960s.
