Ceremonies were held five times a year until 1945; since then, there's been one annual event--since 1971 on the first Sunday in May. The rest of the year the doors are locked. Inside, inscribed tables rest in cabinets behind an altar. The ambience is austere, except for an inner band of woodwork suggestive of clouds.
