Notes on the Geography of Northern India: AjaigarAjaigar is a small town in northern Panna District and draws only a few visitors, almost solely to the ruins of its hilltop fortress. Make default image size larger ![]() The road north from Panna to Ajaigarh drops off the northern lip of the Rewa Plateau, forming here the Panna Range. ![]() The topography may not look very rugged, but the road has a half-dozen hairpin curves. ![]() Down below, the earth fattens with the approach of the Ganges lowlands. ![]() Sugarcane grows. ![]() Electric pumps raise groundwater.
