Here's Cave 26, paid for by the monk Buddhabhadra but dedicated by him to the rising regional power, the Asmakas, to whose leader the monk claimed to have been allied "through many previous existences." (Spink, IV, plate 9)

Photos from the 19th century show the cliff overgrown, while the plaza in front of the cave was a heap of earth and rock right up to the steps, which of course didn't exist. (Spink, IV, pl. 161)
