A veranda has collapsed, leaving behind a jagged edge and the stubby bases of columns, bits of which survived into the 19th century and are shown in photographs. Speaking again of intrusions, the space for the bottom left figure above the veranda was so tight that the customary figure on the Buddha's left hand, Vajrapani, had to be rotated 90 degrees to fit in the space.
